Although times are tough, we can count on some things to remain constant. For the people of Riverton, the 4th of July celebration is just such a time. It faithfully comes each year and is an anchor in our community.
Despite the loss of a longtime member, Joe Zaneski, the 4th of July Committee is working diligently to bring our community a great day. In memoriam, Joe will be our 2010 Parade Marshal. He served on the committee for more than 20 years and was always the person we could count on for help with anything. From directing traffic on the riverbank before the parade, greasing the pole with Crisco at the park, to organizing and implementing the downhill race, Joe was everywhere. His hand was in all of our 4th of July events. He will be missed greatly.
Welcome to our newly designed web site. It will encompass more, and we will even be adding PayPal. Now you can register for the Bill Oliver Run for Fun and pay online. Our web site should be up and running by May 1st.
As you can see, the Riverton 4th of July Committee hasn't let you down. We will remain as dedicated as ever, no matter the challenges we face, because the 4th of July is one fantastic time in our community. People count on it; and no matter what, your 4th of July Committee will deliver!
SEE YOU ON SATURDAY JULY 3RD! (Since the 4th falls on Sunday this year, our Children's Parade 4th of July celebration events will be held on Saturday, the 3rd of July!)
