Dear Neigbor

Welcome to Riverton 4th of July 2013!

ATTENTION FREE CONCERT IN THE PARK ATTENDEES: Due to inclement weather, the Mark Brown & John Byrne Band concert has now been moved to the Sacred Heart Gymnasium, Entrance on 4th Street, between Linden and Thomas Avenues. Start time is 6pm, bring your own blankets & pillows (lawn chairs will not be allowed) There will also be some bleacher seating available. Food & refreshments will also be available for purchase.

ATTENTION PARADE PARTICIPANTS: Please be advised that Main Street in Riverton will be CLOSED from 10th Street to the riverbank beginning at 8:30 am on July 4th. Thomas Avenue from Main to Park Avenue will also be closed. This is to allow for the safety of our 5K and 1 mile race participants. If you are planning on arriving for the parade line-up AFTER 8:30 am, we suggest using either Union Landing Road in Cinnaminson, Highland Avenue or Cinnaminson Avenue in Palmyra,  to access River Road in Riverton

This year, we are fine tuning our events. We will be doing all of our great festivities, only better.

PayPal is now available for use to become a patron or an advertiser in the 4th of July Booklet. We are making it easy for you to support the 4th.

Once again, we will host a concert in the park on Sunday evening, June 30th. We are bringing in some help with the sound in the park so that all concert attendees will be able to enjoy the music to its fullest. Riverton’s own Mark Brown will open the concert this year. He will be followed by John Byrne and his band. Bring your lawn chairs and bug spray. Food will be available for purchase during the concert.

Our 5K Run and 1 Mile Run for Fun will be timed electronically to insure that our run stats are available quickly! We also have recertified our course with the US Track and Field Association! We are definitely official.
Please don’t miss the camel rides at the Riverton Park following the parade. The camel is coming along to join the ponies and the petting zoo! Camels, most certainly, are patriotic, don’t you think?

And, last, but not least, we have an amazing group of people working on the 4th of July to make it the best yet. If you see a committee member, give them a pat on the back for their hard and devoted work.

Happy 4th of July!
Tracy Hansen Foedisch,
Chairperson, Riverton 4th of July Committee
